The assignment is to write an Analytical Report over the different styles of writing used in the field of study I will be pursuing. The assignment is based on an interview with a professional in the Journalism or Advertising field to gain an understanding of the academic and non-academic writing styles used. In my previous English classes, I have used different writing genres. I have designed and wrote articles for the high school newspaper as well as wrote research and terms papers using the rhetorical elements. I have analyzed ethos, logos, and pathos while writing research, persuasive and argumentative papers.
Questions/Confusion:
1. Is there a requirement for how long the professional has been working and out of college?
2. Give some examples of academic and non-academic writings.
3. Will we need to cite our interview?
